CAN is a communication protocol developed by the German firm Robert Bosch GmbH®, based in a bus topology for messages transmit ion in distributed ambient, also offers you a solution for communication management between multiple central units of the process.
The communication´s protocol CAN CAN provides the following benefits:
- It´s a standardized communication´s protocol, with it is simplified and economized the task of communicate sub-systems of different manufacturers over a common net or bus.
- The Host delegates a communication burden to an intelligent perisferic, therefore the host has more time to execute his own tasks.
- Because it is a multiplex net, it reduces considerably the wiring and deletes connections point per point.
To simplify even more car´s electronic you can use a simpler subnet, which is connected to a CAN net, call LIN. |
